Synerlogic will scan from smartphones with new WMS in the cloud

Synerlogic develops, produces and distributes ingredients, (cattle) food additives, chemicals and cleaning- and disinfecting agents for more than 110 years. This requires a reliable warehouse management system, where everything can be traced back in detail. The current WMS unfortunately no longer met these requirements. The logistics service provider from Duiven (NL) is therefore very picky when it comes to choosing its suppliers. The choice of the right WMS was also very critical and eventually the best solution was found in 3PL Dynamics from Boltrics.

Scanning on any desired device

With over 40.000 pallet spaces filled with food supplies and ADR goods, (food) safety is one of the most important aspects of business management for Synerlogic. In connection with this safety, clients and custoemrs increasingly expect that traceability is possible up to article level. Quality checks on entry and exit are of great importance. Has someting fallen or has something leaked? Is there a strange smell in the trailer? All aspects that can affect the shipment. Scanners with small keypads do not make these kinds of checks easy. Let alone the pen and peper approach. Boltrics’ WMS solves this by applying HTML5 Scanning. A scanning system with internet as a basis. Every device with internet connection can use this, including smartphones and tablets. With the convenience of touchscreens, dropdown menus and familiar key input, the quality checks for Synerlogic run much smoother.

Improvement on many fronts

The WMS must not only ensure an increase in traceability and safety. Synerlogic also expects, among other things, to see improvement in stock reliability, batch and number registration. The WMS from Boltrics, based on Microsoft Dynamics, offers a wide range of standard functionalities for logistics service providers. In combination with the HTML5 Scanning modyle, Synerlogic does not have to worry about the above.

Han Hartelman, as Project Manager responsible for the rollout of the WMS: “The warehousing activities belong to the core business of our company. It is therefore crucial to realize the best possible ICT support for these business processes. The WMS from Boltrics does not only help with the current innovation, but is also future-proof. Where many systems are outdated at a given moment, that will not happen now. That we can keep on going.”
